VETERANS BECOME FOCUS OF HALFMOON DAY.(CAPITAL REGION)

HALFMOON This year's Halfmoon Day will be Saturday, with the theme ``Year of the Veteran.''

A parade will start the day at 9:45 a.m. on Guideboard Road and continue north on Route 236 to Town Hall. The parade will have three grand marshals, all World War II former prisoners of war. U.S. Rep. Gerald Solomon (R-Queensbury) will deliver a speech during ceremonies at 11:30 a.m.
