Fen: France win men's epee team gold
France has won the gold medal in the Olympic men's fencing epee team competition, beating
Hungary 43-32.
The French relied on siblings FABRICE and JEROME JEANNET, both born in Martinique,
to guide them home.
HUGUES OBRY, individual silver medallist four years ago, also performed well in scoring 12 hits.
The Hungarians were just one point adrift at the start of the seventh round when JEROME,
the elder of the brothers, picked up two points without reply.
OBRY extended the lead and FABRICE JEANNET finished the job.
Germany has won the bronze medal beating Russia 37-29.
