SA:Toys banned for Christmas

Four toys on sale in South Australia have failed safety checks and will be taken off
the shelves in the lead-up to Christmas.

The toys include a 15 centimetre Shrek soft toy .. with testers finding its ears could
easily detach .. posing a hazard for small children.

Three wooden Tinker toys .. a car containing a small animal character .. a pull-along
dog and a pull-along snake .. have also been recalled after failing drop tests which resulted
in small parts breaking off.

About 10 thousand of the Tinker toys will be taken off the shelves and about six thousand
700 Shrek toys.
